Berry Parfait


It takes just four ingredients to make this healthy breakfast or dessert.  And it's so darn pretty, it's perfect for company :)



Here's what you need:

Plain yogurt!

 
Healthy cereal...i LOVE oatmeal squares, they're one of my favorites!



You will also need some berries.

 
And a little honey from a bear.

Okay, let's start, though you probably don't really need a recipe by now.  But some of my dear engineering friends claim they have zero skills in the kitchen, so i'm doing this for you guys.  You know who you are ;)

Ingredients (for 1 serving):
-1/4 cup plain yogurt
-1 tbsp honey
-1/3 cup fresh berries
-1/2 cup healthy cereal

1.  Take a wine glass and fill the bottom with a little bit of your healthy cereal.


2.  Next, put some yogurt in the glass next. 
 

3.  Add some berries.  Look how pretty they are!


4.  A little drizzle of honey from a bear.


5.  Keep that same pattern until you reach the top!



Isn't this really pretty?  I love how it looks, and putting it in a wine glass just makes it all the more professional-looking.


Seriously, start serving your desserts in a wine glass, and it instantly ups its status.  Ooh, dessert nobility.


Note: if you're not fond of eating plain yogurt, fat free flavored yogurt will work just as well!  The honey in this recipe is my way of cutting the sharpness of the plain yogurt, so try it both ways to see how you like it :)  If you go with flavored yogurt, i'd skip the honey.
