Sugar Cookies

I am not a fan of desserts...i'd much rather eat bread and bagels over cake and donuts any day. BUT there are some notable exceptions, and this happens to be one of them. These cookies are absolutely addicting...it's the simplest little cookie ever, but they are so freaking delicious. and i swear, they taste better the older they get. I also made a batch of these last year with sugar substitute for my diabetic mom, and they tasted just like the real thing. i think it's all the glorious butter. THAT, i don't substitute. i think it's so worth it though.

Enough talk. here's the recipe.

A =
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter
B =
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
C =
  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 400F
1. Mix A.
2. Mix A with B.
3. Mix C separately, then add to A + B
4. Roll out into 1/4" sheets, cut and bake for 8 minutes.
5. Cool and decorate!
